Trend Chart Tolerance Bands

Setting up tolerance bands on a trend chart pen (max & min allowable values) can be done in the following ways:

Warning 'flashing' of the pen line on a Trend Chart when out of range using the Blink on Alarm from box on the Pen Properties setup box

Warning flashing using Color Dynamics

Warning messages using Position Dynamics

Ramp/Soak controllers have a Working Setpoint, so plotting the Working Setpoint on the chart can be used to indicate a tolerance band. This can be done with User Variables that have been set using the Strategy Controller to the Working Setpoint plus or minus a tolerance

If the upper and lower limits don't change during the process then simply plotting 2 User Variables on the Trend Chart that contain the upper and lower values will visually show if the reading goes out-of-range.

For determining if a value is 'in-range' in order to e.g. send an email, there is some Strategy that will need implementing to do range-checking.
